The chapter concludes by showing that love for God cannot be separated from love for other people.
Anyone who claims to love God while hating a brother or sister is living inconsistently. If someone refuses to love a person they can see, their claim to love the unseen God is empty.
God’s command is therefore clear: whoever loves God must also love his brother.
